Hey I’m back with something cool! It’s Wednesday, and we are halfway through our week! Now it is time to decompress from all your worries and stress, for a new tag is here, #refreshwednesday! Honestly this tag is just to talk about plant related things to refresh and restart after half a week kind of just chill out? Y know. And now, How are you doing today, I’d really like to know! Honestly the week has been stressful with loads of work put on me 😥 but this community is all I need to make my day! Anyway, on to plant related things, have you heard about how to fix you’re spider plant? Last week I completely obliterated spider plants here on #PlantRant , but I just heard the ultimate way! I’ve heard water conditioners do the trick! I’m ordering some, that’s one worry to take off my list! So… miracle grow. Killer or just not great? Well it depends on the type! Sometimes different types affect different plants! and you know I should do a test on that 🧐🧐🧐! But main point: killer or just not the best choice? Well, I’m happy with either opinions, one might say it’s a killer, and while I don’t necessarily agree, we all can have different opinions! I think it’s good if your just starting, but in the long run, it’s not the best choice. All it does is speed up growth and make leaves flimsier. So, my answer? Yes and kind of no. Something cool about alocasias is when it’s wintery or cold, you don’t really have to worry about brown tips or dropping of leaves, because there’s usually 1-2 leaves. Since they are in dormancy, they’re saving energy! Just a little thing I like! For this one, I’d like your thoughts and opinions! What do you think is the most controversial plant? For me, I’d go cathlea. You either love them or hate them with a burning passion. It’s mostly for me, the spider mites. Their favorite plant to hitchhike on! What do you think 🤔 I’d like to know! I’m going to post a few of my plants I’m struggling to find consistent data for proper care/schedules (as rough guidelines of course) and was just hoping maybe someone could point me in the direction of the following so I can familiarize myself with what these guys need/like to help my babies flourish and be in their optimal health states 🖤 I’m particularly #seekingadvice on the best watering methods, directional placements or distances from windows (and WHICH ones) they would thrive in, and ESPECIALLY seeking some guidance for #fertilizing my herd. I’ve got some plants I’ve heard enjoy weekly feeding, while others said annually & I’m not gonna lie it’s overwhelming to spend that amount of time trying to do the research on each individual plant and hope I trust the right source. #Currentlyusing #MiracleGro Tropical soil for indoor plants, with the indoor liquid fertilizer but am confused about HOW to use it because I swore it said pump it directly in to soil. I’ve also resorted to some of those fertilizer sticks as a more consistent source while trying to figure out my herd’s needs, but I’m fearful of causing more harm

What’s going on with my new baby? I just got this little beauty three days ago. Transferred her from the little plastic pot to this one with a drainage hole at the bottom. Still learning so I’m not quite sure the difference between clay and terracotta. I purchased this #MiracleGro #Succulent plant food, but did I overwater already? I also prayed her with a little Bioadvanced houseplant insect and mite control. Can someone teach this newby a little something?🙏🏾💔🥺

Is this soil just different? #MiracleGro #SoilMix #NewPlantMom Hello, I’m very new to the plant world but have been having good luck with my babies. When I first started I purchased a big bag of soil and honestly all went well. Recently I needed to buy more and the person at the store recommended this one in the picture. I don’t know if this is a dumb question, probably is, but when I water this soil the water just doesn’t go in. It sits on the surface and the rest of the pot stays bone dry. I even tried putting a handful of soil in a bowl and hand mixing with water, but it becomes a very weird mud-like thing. Am I doing something wrong? Is it really supposed to act like this? Thank you so much.
