It was the cutest little fat butt ever, and I fell in love. Then it split, and began to grow taller. And taller. AND TALLER. I was quite concerned, as this is not normal. Then today, it burst. All at once. As you can see, it had not one, but TWO new leaf pairs inside that giant tower of Lithops. It didn’t show any sign of beginning to split (and shouldn’t have until winter), but suddenly burst under the pressure of the growing leaf pairs. I have no idea how this will turn out, to be honest. But, I feel pretty confident it was happy or it couldn’t have produced four new leaves instead of two, so I think this beefy fella is gonna muscle through this. #Lithops #Mesembs #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #WhatTheSucc #Succulents #Succulent 33 24 Comments @Jana85 · 3Y I got new mesembs! 😍 It is not actually possible to own *too many* Lithops! 😅 I spent this morning collecting coarse sand from the wilds of Kentucky because I’m tired of buying pumice and lava rock online.
