Calling all new citrus tree seedlings! I am announcing a new community the #CitrusGrandPrix A Tree Race. And it doesn't have to be citrus. Plant an acorn, or pecan, just get a tree started! I know what you're thinking, "RJG that will take years" My reply? Exactly. All are welcome to participate and there is no prize except that we will have some baller trees in a few years. here are my two entrants in the #CitrusGrandPrix I will be adding them to Greg momentarily so we can track them better together. Time for a #CitrusGrandPrix UPDATE: Speedy is...well...speeding ahead! For the first time Speedy is producing 2 leaves at once! A very exciting development! Little is continuing to chug along on a similar growth trajectory to Speedy just like 75% as fast! That's all this week! Happy racing! #MandarinOrange #HoneyDropMandarin #BackyardGreenhouse #RJGroup

My first racer in the #CitrusGrandPrix is SPEEDY. (get it? because he's the big one thus far between my 2) He's a #HoneyDropMandarin grown from seed and potted originally on 1/26/22. #MandarinOrange #BackyardGreenhouse #ProduceByRJG

EXCITING NEWS! my orange seeds have sprouted! right now I have 7 possibles!! #Seedlings #HoneyDropMandarin #NewGrowth #NewPlant #BackyardGreenhouse

the #BackyardGreenhouse had a squirrel attack today. they were going for the fertilizer in Cutie and boy did they clean it out. there was cosmetic damage to Prima but it looks okay. it also meant an acceleration of the moving of the #HoneyDropMandarin seedlings to their new pots. a long lunch break of triage. we'll see if they all make it. 😭😭
