Hey #GregGang, happy Saturday! It's time for another #GregGivesBackGiveaway! 📣 I don't know about you, but I'm itchy. Like, itchy all over and I am trying so hard not to scratch but I also know it's going to happen so maybe I should just give in now? Itching to buy a new plant that is.  Something about the time change and longer days makes my brain do three things: plan the garden, think about playing rugby again, and want to buy all the houseplants.  I have the garden planned, seeds purchased, and am basically waiting until the soil can be worked at this point.  I think I talked myself out of getting back on the pitch for at least another season (I'll have to talk myself out of it again in th fall).  Most importantly, I am repotting, washing leaves, pruning, etc to try and show myself I have enough plants to take care of and don't need more. BUT we all have that one plant. The plant that we have given up trying to talk ourselves out of and know we will just buy. For me, it is any hoya or ficus I don't have yet. I know that if I walk into a nursery, greenhouse or store and they have one that is not in my collection it will be coming home with me.  SO we want to know, what is your "one plant." The plant you have to have every varietal of, or the plant you have been searching for, or the plant that you know you give into every time, etc? We made it !🙌 the weekends here ! Hopefully everyone has exciting plans. Seams like most of us have been getting a taste of sprjng this week💐🌞🌻. I know i was loving it! Managed to get everything to the basement yesterday. Step 1... complete ✅ today its move all the props out and put cutting table in the walk in closet . Maybe ill have time to get started on the tent? But we will see ? Ive decided to try my hand at starting a new club. #TheThread Myself and several others have wanted somewhere a little easier to just post and chat in a group. Not just about plants! But life also! Thats what brings us closer togethor as a plant community. Feel free to join. Ill start it off with this post of how i do my semi woody or woody props. Ill explain using my hoya props ofc😂! Since thats my mainstay prop. First i select my cuttings from mother plants, in this case a nummeraloids fragrans, a rositta, and n eskimo supper silver . After cutting off a few vines , i cut those into piecies leaving 1-1.5 inches at the bottom@of a set of leaves. And just a nub above 2 sets . I use my finger nail or knife and scrape away the waxy outer layer exposing the flesh underneath. Make these scrapes on@the 2 sides the leaves are on ! ( shown in pic 1-3) then i make a notch in the bottom, but very small (pic 4 ) . Thise will dry in a cool local for 12-24 hrs! Ill be back in a few to show you the after dry process! ( like i said!
