Man grow lights work wonders! The plants were previously placed in a sheltered front yard, but since moving them to a spot under an RGB aquarium light last week they've started to take off! I've got my Alocasia 'Platinum' tuber cut twins, my Alocasia pseudo-sanderiana 'Aurea', my Anthurium warocqueanum, my Anthurium *checks terrible handwriting on label* [Ralph Lynam x Napo] x [Fort Sherman x Ralph Lynam], and lastly my Begonia dracopelta. Oh yeh and has anyone with a dracopelta personally noticed how in bright light they go somewhat platinum? On top of my #FreshLeafFriday post, i also for some reason decided to do up a miniature 'creative planting' with my Monstera Thai Const. It was leaning sooo much, but i didn't have a pole or stake available. I originally wanted to just put a medium-sized rock underneath, but then i somehow ended up using some sticks used for aquascaping, then decided it's too barren and covered it with plants. All well, anyways here's the pot setup and the plants. There's some moss i found in my Alocasia 'Low Ruffles' pot [which REALLY needs repotting, shush shush 🤫], Peperomia prostrata cuttings and Ficus punctata [AKA Ficus 'Panama'] cuttings as well. On the second photo, i also placed an itty bitty baby fern [Microsorum pteropus 'Trident'] amongst the moss, if you can see it. I'll update again if requested or if i inadvertently add more 'detail plants'. #FreshLeafFriday despite it being saturday for me lol. Not too much, but these are still great! Philodendron rubrijuvenile 'El Choco Red', the degree of redness is gorgeous! I got this plant only recently when the leaf was starting to emerge, so there's a weird hole coz i think it got slightly damaged from another pot of plant when i was bringing it home. Still very pretty! Philodendron 'Paraiso Verde', HUGE leaf on this! Surprisingly a very easy and fast-growing plant, this one gets some afternoon and evening sun and the results are high-contrast variegation and crazy big leaves! Scindapsus 'Jade Satin Aurea', the pic don't do it justice. I swear it's VERY big. This leaf is the second one on a single-node cutting and it's ALREADY bigger than the 7th leaf of the same plant on my pole. I dunno why, it just is. Finally my humongous mana Nepenthes x 'Gaya' has some basal shoots that are taking off, this one already has a [slightly squashed] pitcher. #TheWateringHole #brunchataudreys Good morning watering hoe peeps! It’s a cold and wet Friday here. I opened up my 💦 watering hole for the 1sr time this week. Think I was up to 19 reminders today! Watered all my little 2 inch prop and re-root pots. I’ll start watering the bigger stuff tomorrow when I have more time. Wasn’t sure yesterday, but this AM, it had popped out some more. Well. I kept killing them 🫠 But life finally settled into a manageable rhythm, my inherited/rescued plants started to thrive, and I decided it was time to take the plunge. My kitchen window is paradise for tropicals, the hot water will absolutely scald and the glass is dirty enough to count as filtered sunlight 😂😂 The colors on her are amazing and now I'm eyeing polka dot plants on black Friday >.> I'm so in love. The unique variegations are just plain fun to look at while I'm petting her and trying to encourage the leaves out. She came pretty scrunched (and I touch all my plants, it helps with the dust plus I just like it) but is growing out fast. Also pictured is this lovely #philodendron that finally pushed me to hit Confirm at #gregplantshop because clearly he needed a hanging friend and I'm not a *monster*. Some poster-child variegations and some awesome weird Because I Can colors. Lord give me strength, for I have not room for more plants 😭😭
