It’s Friday morning, almost the weekend!!!! #TheWateringHole Haven’t been on much this week. Had a routine procedure, but the “sleep” Versed/fentanyl combo knocked me down 🥴🤮😵. Still trying to bounce back. Anyhooooo yesterday afternoon I had enough energy to mess with my plants. Been wanting to set up a spot for the orchids so new table from AMZ and a grow light from rePotme ☺️. Could fit only 3 of the 5 orchids under the light, so guess I need another light 🤣. For now the philodendron gets the bottom shelf with his own personal light 💡🤭. I need to research the proper height and intensity of the lights for the 🪴🪴🪴plants. I’ve got a light meter arriving Sunday. How do you determine how far away the light should be from your plants? 🌿 Happy #Sunday plant friends! 🌿 I had to condense my usual Sunday care routine because my paediatrics on-call shift started at 2 pm 👩🏼‍⚕️💉 Today’s focus was my tiny fern ecosystem — a miniature world balanced on a single rock, slowly finding its rhythm ☁️ I adjusted the water level, cleaned the glass, and checked that the roots are happy and hydrated. 💬 Tell me — what’s your Sunday plant ritual like? Just spent an hour emergency repotting my foxtail fern because it had ants, I’ve never repotted a plant with tuberous roots before!! So many roots! I didn’t know my poor plant was so root bound I’ll definitely be checking up on my foxtail ferns more in the future. But I got BOTH my foxtail ferns repotted and they’re much happier I’m sure. 😅 I lost quite a few of the bulbs during repotting and I wonder if I can do anything with them..? hopefully my plants didn’t lose too many, there still seemed to be quite a lot in there. Sorry for the spam 😅 thought I would show some of my #Indoorplants for this #succsunday ! 🤗 1. Autumn Fern 2. Star Cactus 3. Gasteraloe ‘Apollo’ 4. Haworthia Cooperi’ C Varigated is finally getting back to its normal state/shape after a rough winter (lack of light, water & maintenance. ) 5. Alworthia ‘Black Gem’ - I recently repotted this one, it’s also got a few babies.. I didnt even know there was Aloe x Haworthia hybrids ?? Same as Gasteria x Aloe hybrids. Some pictures of my #OutsidePlants that I took today. 🌿 Everything is look so good, I can’t believe how big some of these plants have gotten. I didn’t get pictures of all of them though. Here’s some that are my favorites 1. Ghost lady fern, this is my second one, my first one is in my mom’s yard (planted it there when I lived with her), so once I moved, I got another one for myself, because the first ended up just looked so good. Hopefully mine will get as big as hers, but right now it’s wayyy smaller than hers. 2. Lantana, I took these out my planters and put them in my front yard a month or so ago and they have just took off! They have gotten so big and the butterflies love them (: 3. Waikiki Elephant Ears- You wouldn’t even know this was a division that only had one leaf when I first got it, I wasn’t even sure if it was gonna make it, because I was scared I had maybe damaged the roots or plant when I split it in half from the mother plant, but after a few days of it being in shock it perked up, and I eventually got it planted in my front yard. It’s better then I could’ve imagined it’s about 5 times the size it was when I planted it. Good morning☕️🌞 to #TheThread Can we just REWIND back to sunday for a do over🙏? I guess not, so MONDAY it is😤. How was everyones weekend? Mine was uneventful and lazy. I got some watering done and several plants repotted. But that was a minimal amount of time spent on it. I had hoped to get more done but oh well i guess🤷‍♂️. We got our full fall weather front last night. Its 60 for a low this morning and going for a high of 67😍! I did have to move my cacti and succulents up to the porch again.
