Hey everyone! I received the hygrometer last night. Before adding additional weatherstripping(see prior post) it was around 42%. So I added a strip of the thick foam tape across the top in between the lid and cabinet. Just that one addition and it’s up to 84%! And with very little material or effort. Just wanted to share! I decided to start off with one pink dragon and 1 melo corm since this is a new approach. So, I added just a bit of water (prob 1/2 tsp) and then popped the corm in. They’re about halfway in the water. Because of the shape of the tray, you can basically have just the root end in water. The first pic is a pair of nippers that are so easy to use & more comfortable than scissors (in my opinion). Next, an auger that attaches to your drill for planting! This one is 4” wide & 12” long but they come in many sizes! And at $17 this is worth it. The little dust pan is great to clean up small messes! I started using 5 gallon water jugs for my plants a few months ago. The last pic is a dispenser so you can fill a watering can or bring the plant over & give it a splash straight from the jug! The last pic is squeeze bottles for watering! I have a few of these & have marked them (Fertilizer, Water, Cal Mag, etc.). Great for smaller pots & saucers. You can easily squeeze liquid into the tiny saucers without spilling! (I’m not suggesting to keep fertilizer premixed. Rather having a dedicated bottle for it.) Plus, you can use the embossed measurements on the bottle, or figure out your water to product ratio and add lines with sharpie for each one. 🙂 My last tip is get a succulent tool kit (even if you don’t have succulents)! It’s great for tending to seedlings or corns, but also just great to have small tools when you’re working with younger plants. 💕 ✨Share some of your favorite tools or tips! I finally have a bunch (7) of corms. Last time I used a little Jell-O shot cup, but I felt like there had to be a better way. EGG TRAY. Hear me out. The holes are small and uniform. You can’t knock them over. This one has an airtight locking lid. So just fill up the little egg holes with whatever medium, add water, and plop the corm in the middle. The lid creates humidity, and the bottom can touch a heat mat. I just ordered a 2 pack of these on Amazon for 7.99 because I chose “used like new”. Plus, they’re clear!! So you can see if there’s any root movement from the bottom.
