Finally got around to using my dried/pressed flowers for something 🤗🌿 all of them are real flowers I’ve found on nature walks or from my own garden or my moms. I want to make more for sure! I couldn’t find my modge podge to use as adhesive, so I ended up using super glue, & made a mess of it while trying to hold the flowers in place & got super glue ALL OVER MY FINGERS & HANDS. 😫😭 I have been trying to get it off since… with alcohol & nail polish remover. I got some of it off but not all of it. So I won’t be doing that next time, I even used gloves but then they got stuck to the canvas & I ripped a hole in them, trying to get it unstuck & the glue still ended up getting back on me. 😒 anyways I’m pleased with the results so my pain wasn’t for nothing atleast 🤣 #DriedFlowers #diy #craftyplantpeople #HappyPlants #PlantLove #flowerpower #PlantAddict

Greg told me so now I’m fixing it lol The position of my 2 plants aren’t the best so now I’m diy plant hangers so I can get them in the proper placement for light. Thought I’d post what I’m doing and the plants progress on how this app helped my plants. DIY Cloche! My Thai con has been in need of higher humanity for a while now (she hasn’t even started working on a leaf since maybe November) and I’ve finally been able to find a temporary solution! I took one of those gallon water cooler bottles, cut the top off, et voila! A DIY cloche that should increase her humidity! I followed the natural grooves of the bottle so the bottom is a bit wavy, meaning there’s some gaps for airflow as well. She’s right by the window at the moment since the bottle will refract a lot of the light, reducing how much light the plant gets, but I will move her further away during summer when it gets much brighter. The moss from #secretplantysanta24 just arrived!! To the people who got me the moss and the driftwood, just know that I thank you from the bottom of my heart that you were able to help me create this little piece. So excited to start handing out my classes holiday gifts tomorrow!! 💗 this is my first holiday season teaching preschool kiddos and I wanted to make a unique gift from the kids that could also be a timeless decoration for their parents☺️ each child put their handprint into a double panel acrylic frame and we worked together to place a bunch of pressed preserved flowers! The kids absolutely loved how they turned out and I’m right there with them (I might’ve cried when some of them turned around when we finished and said stuff like “it’s perfect! Mommy will love it” and one of my little boys would not stop begging me to get to hang onto his for all of nap time🥹😭). These are a few of my favs! I made this DIY moss pole, with chicken wire I found and have been hoarding because I just knew… I WOULD NEED IT FOR SOMETHING! Renters idea for no holes plant space. I’ve been looking for an inexpensive way to place more plants in front of my window that doesn’t take up much space and is rent friendly. This checked all my boxes! It’s a shower organizer! No holes in the wall! Vertical tension bar. And with one easy revision, it can hold many plants. I added clear glue tape under each shelf, wrapped twice, and slid the shelf over the sticky tape. The bottom shelf was cracked a bit in shipping, so I added another 3-layers of tape under the shelf, without removing the backing on the top layer. (Last pic) It only cost about $20. Have yall seen these moss walls? So I don’t generally use moss poles since I primarily grow in semi hydro (it has fallen into the mediums and was difficult to get out) and I saw someone use a sphagnum moss wall online. So I decided to build a moss/aroid mix wall-well a couple & im going to add a few more. It has been a whole day of plant chores and I still have more to do later. Not all of it was cleaning and repotting though. Several of my low light plants are getting put in my office and two more have gotten new DIY pots! Beauty and the Beast & Up inspired! Finally putting the glitter up for awhile lol. Got this cute blue scale printed pot the other day at Hobby Lobby. I’ve been feeling the need to rename my #LipstickEcheveria because his little sprout didn’t make it 😢 Everytime I looked at him with the old name it just felt sad so….with a few days to think on it & this new pot for inspiration….DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!! !!!🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁!!! Say hello to 🔱 Triton 🔱 !!!! The tail scales match so why not?!?! 👍🏻🤣❤️ Plus, his leaves are pointy like his crown. I I will say it has been a very busy weekend/week so far, getting things together for the winter, I built a shelf painted it, got new grow lights, and even got plant mail (pic 3) from my new plant pen pal ! @Lifeis2short 🤗🌸🌿💌 (she’s getting hers soon guys don’t worry) Now all that’s left is to make some room for my new (very large and heavy) Shelf! The best part was I didn’t have to pay a dime, I had some wood 🪵 donated to me for the cause, as well as some leftover paint. I did have to go buy some grow lights but anything to make my plant babies happy! 🥰 I also rewarded myself with two new plants, since I finally have more room for them (pillow foot crinkle leaf & a crassula I can’t remember the name right this second. 😉 #PlantShelfie #GrowLights #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #PlantMail #WinterIsComing #PlantAddict #diy

Pest hack🪴 I’ve purchased the sticky traps for the flying pests but decided to make my own after seeing how easy it could be. I use any small stick, plant stake or straw and make a circle with packing tape with the sticky side facing out. I stick it to the little stick and put it in the dirt. Even a pencil, popsicle stick, chopstick, piece of bamboo… It all works really well #pestcontrol #DIY
