So yesterday I decided I wanted a plant, and so I asked my dad and we went. The plant store I had been going to for a while was quite expensive, at least compared to Trader Joeβs, and so I found a random place on google maps and we went there. The store was called βPlanteβ and they were a little small compared to other places, but they had a nice selection, and all the plants were very healthy. And so, I got a little Pink Syngonium and a nice blue pot all for 22 bucks, and the guy working there even repotted the plant and drilled a hole in the bottom! After that I limped over to a trainer with the help of another kid, and ended up sitting there until lunch with my leg propped up on a chair and an ice pack over my ankle. Once it was about time for lunch I limped into a golf cart where one of the camp helpers took me back to where I had lunch. After lunch, I learned it is really hard to go down stairs with a sprained ankle, and then went to another gym where I watched the other teams play some five on five games. Once that was over I went to the area where I was going to get picked up, although the sprain had gotten worse. When my mom came and picked me up I limped with my ankle in terrible shape all the way to the car where I got to breathe a sigh of relief and rest. Upon arriving home we wrapped up my ankle along with some pain cream and then it was time for me to go to my trombone lesson. The lesson went quite well considering my arms were fine, but when I got back to the car? My whole day turned around. In my seat, sitting there was a cute little Alocasia Sarian. I then drive home with a smile on my face and now here I am admiring my little rehab plant. Also, any Alocasia advice would be greatly appreciated because I have never touched an Alocasia in my life except for now. #AlocasiaAddicts #SpringIntoSummer #ColoradoMountainGang #rehabplants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy 21 7 Comments @Lotsofplants Β· 3Y This is a terrarium that I created for this sad Boston Fern. I knew that the fern needed more humidity, part of living in Colorado, and so my best option was a terrarium. Somehow, out in my backyard I found some moss that I added to the terrarium, and it turned out like this. #NotSoHappyPlants #ColoradoMountainGang #SpringIntoSummer 11 6 Comments @Lotsofplants Β· 3Y Let me introduce you to Spots, the Polka Dot Begonia. Iβve had her for a while, and she is one of the plants Iβve rescued. (Mainly from myself) She either had too big of a pot, fell victim to tap water, or something else unknown, but I propped her and now she is thriving close to my north facing window. #NotSoHappyPlants #ColoradoMountainGang #SpringIntoSummer #PolkaDotBegonia 24 1 Comments @Lotsofplants Β· 3Y Just wanna give a shout-out to Olive the Ficus Ginseng (or Retusa, I donβt really know) who has been going through this mystery disease/pest/fungus and is still alive. I have been frequently treating her with neem oil and she is doing somewhat fine, but there is still occasional leaf drop and yellowing. Here is her beauty today. I also want to say that I hereby start the low humidity gang, aka #ColoradoMountainGang. #NotSoHappyPlants #FicusGang #SpringIntoSummer #Bonsai 9 1 Comments
