Happy #FreshLeafFriday everyone 🌿 Today I went my favorite locally owned nursery, I went because I’m already having *cringe* FUNGUS KNATS 😫 … I haven’t even moved my plants inside yet is the worst part. It’s just my props that are inside on my plant shelf right now. Anyways I went looking for some sticky traps that you can put in your pots. My grandma gave me one a few months back & it seems to have caught a lot of knats, etc. I have been trying to find more so I could put them in my other pots indoors, but couldn’t seem to find them at Home Depot or Walmart. It came with 24 but they were $13.99! 😳 I’m almost ashamed to say that I spent that much on them, however I’m used to the this nursery being a bit pricy (most locally owned places tend to be a bit more expensive then big box stores). Since I couldn’t find them anywhere else & it was an emergency I’m not too upset about the price. 😬 I didn’t end up coming home with any new plants today, *pats self on back* (it was only because they don’t carry many succulents during this time of year). But I did get a planter & some premade gritty cactus mix… the soil was also RIDICULOUSLY expensive for the amount I got.. (21.99 for 2.2 lbs) it is very gritty & looks like a good quality mix. Since I’ve recently been more interested in cacti than usual, I decided to get this instead of the premade gritty succulent mix they had. Although I know the basic care for cacti, I still have trouble with them sometimes, they will be fine & then they will just die on me or just not grow, idk if they go dormant or what. There are so many little things about every type of cactus they are very specific as far as care goes etc. anyways my point is hoping this soil mix will keep them happy & prevent rot or overwatering. I used the new soil mix in my new pot with one of my new cactuses I got the other day, I also put a sedeveria ‘Spring Jade’ & a little piece of sedum in the middle. I also moved my palm in it’s permanent spot as of right now, on my screened in porch, I don’t know much about these, I’m not even really sure what type of palm it is.. any tips are appreciated Sorry for the super long post 🫣 #PlantAddict #CactusClique #Cacti #Cactus #SoilMix #grittymix #fungusgnats #PestControl #SucculentLove #SucculentSquad #Succulents #Succulent #cacticollect #PestControl #MyLocalPlantShop #Sedeveria #Sedum #planters #succulentarrangements #Palms

Forgot to post these the other day, for #WhatTheSuccWednesday #WhereIsWhatTheSuccWednesday 💚 1. Varigated Melon Spurge, her baby is getting so big! If I wanted to ever separate them, how would I go about that? Would I slice it off with a clean tool? Or would I kinda tug and twist it ? Should I wait for it to get bigger ? I normally don’t separate my babies/pups but I would love to have another one of these! 2. Graptoveria ‘Opalina’ , I love how she is constantly changing colors! 3. Crown Of Thorns ‘Bicolor’ , I’m still learning her habits & preferences, I currently have her outside in full sun, and water once a week because she seems to get droopy pretty quick if I don’t. I bottom soak her and let her dry out completely before I water again. Any tips on this one would be appreciated! 🌱 4. Prolific Echeveria, it’s grown lots of of babies, but there is this one super long growth & I’m not sure what that’s about. This emerged around the same time it flowered, at first I thought it was another flower stalk, but it’s not clearly 🤣 I’m just wondering why it’s so long ? It gets plenty of light, I didn’t know if there was a name or reason for this? Her other babies are much more compact and closer to the mother. 5. Cliff cotyledon, so cute & chonky 🤗 lots of new growth! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #SucculentLove #SucculentSquad #Succulents #Succulent #GrowingSuccs #SuccerForSucculents #Echeveria #CactusClique #Cactus #Cacti #cacticollect #CrownOfThorns #Cotyledon #Graptoveria #OutdoorGrowing #OutsidePlants #PlantTherapy #PlantLove

#ThornyThursday 😉 my mom gave me a crown of thorns… when adding it to my oasis, so many different kinds of Crown of Thorns came up… & mine didn’t come with a sprecific name, so I’m not sure if it’s the right ID (Crown Of Thorns ‘Bicolor’). (Photo 4) Anyways I repotted her, & hopefully she will like it outside… I’m wondering if it is similar to my African Milk Bush, & will prefer morning sun, & afternoon shade. I noticed my AMB (African milk bush) started yellowing leaves if left in full sun all day, like my other succulents. It seems to prefer morning sun, with afternoon shade during the hotter hours of the day. This is my first crown of thorns, so idk if they will be similar in that way, but any care advice would be greatly appreciated! I also wanted to share some #BloomingCactus / #BloomingSuccs My Varigated Melon cactus, (Photos 1-3) has the teensiest CUTEST FLOWERR ever starting to form… I know she is small, you may even have to squint to be able to tell it’s a flower… but it is! I’m so happy, this is one of favorite plants/cactus. I haven’t had her very long either, I’m telling you guys the fertilizer I use for my #Succulents has been impressing me this year! So many new blooms on varieties that haven’t bloomed for me before, & it’s usually after repotting with new soil with added in slow release granular succulent fertilizer. I get it from Home Depot & it truly does work for a great price & the bottle will last you a while, depending on how often you repot & the size of the planter. I hope you guys enjoy the cactus updates, & everyone is having a great Thursday… it’s almost the weekend, amirite! 😅 #HappyPlants #NewPlant #NewPlants #CrownOfThorns #Cactus #CactusClique #Cacti #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #Succulent #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #OutdoorGrowing #PlantLove #variegatedplants #MelonCactus #GrowingSuccs #flowerpower #Blooming #BloomingSuccs

Late Night ~Cacti~ Appreciation Post, I had a chance to enjoy my #coffeewithsucculents this morning, & got to snap a few pictures of my cactus babies with morning dew 🌬️✨ 1. Tephrocactus Geometricus, also known as the ‘Dragon Egg Cactus’ , has been *slowly* growing. Recently these darker, more pointy, & thick spines have emerged… I’m not sure what that means or why the spines have seemed to get thicker than the rest of the spines on the plant. I’m interested to know if that means anything at all, or if it’s just a normal growth pattern. I haven’t changed anything as far as its environment. If anyone has any foresight on this please share! 2-4. Another close up of the Tephrocactus, & my BEAUTIFUL Arizona Rainbow Cactus… it’s very apparent why it was named such.. it’s became one of my favorites, I wanted one for so longgg, I’m so happy to own such a beautiful cultivar. The way the spines mimic a rainbow pattern vertically, as well as eyecactching aerial view in photo 3.. I just can’t get enough of this beauty. They also have stunning flowers which I hope I will eventually get to experience! 🌸 5. Variegated Corn Cob Cactus- it has really thrived since repotting in early spring, It looks to me it could already use another repot soon… problem is i have no bigger sized pots right now… (it’s a bittersweet thing when your plants used to be super small, so all your pots are small, but now you have had them so long they have almost trippled in size, however you are lacking in pots that are appropriately sized for them now… 😂). Anyways it will be okay till I can make it to a nursery for my birthday (November). 😂 I plan on treating myself to some plants and pots for my 25 birthday… 🤷🏻‍♀️ #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #CactusClique #Cactus #Cacti #cacticollect #ArizonaRainbowCactus #CorncobCactus #TephrocactusGeometricus #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #Succulents #GrowingSuccs #OutdoorGrowing #OutsidePlants #PlantLove
