Happy Fresh New Week! 😇 Just sharing a few things: 1) My peace lily loves my office at work! Look at her ✨thriving✨ 2) I had my poinsettia outside on the balcony all summer, and brought it in several weeks ago when it began to get cold at night. Well, two weeks or so after that, a lone sunflower sprout appeared in the pot! I was like 🤔 but I decided to care for it indoors as best I can, since it’s already sprouted! I know it won’t get very big, but it’s going to have a nice little life. 3) Anyway, I was watering some plants yesterday and picked up my poinsettia—TWO MORE 🌻🌻 My only explanation is that maybe some birds or a squirrel put them in the pot while it was outdoors… but then why didn’t they sprout until now? Anyway I guess I have a mini indoor sunflower garden now 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣🐿️ 4) #BuddyTheTurtle says hi to all his Greg friends 🐢🩷 and 5) My #PinkPrincessPhilodendron has two gorgeous little offsets! I can’t wait for them to get big enough to be in their own pots. Hi friends! I’ve really been MIA from the app; life just really gets in the way sometimes! But I wanted to share some happy news: 1. I had to chop my ponytail palm back when the thrips were terrorizing me, they had completely destroyed it. But look! It’s growing back! 🥳 2. A spider cactus that one of my coworkers gave me is growing a new baby (pup?) 🌵3. Update on #BuddyTheTurtle for his fans: he’s growing! He’s shedding his shell and the new one is underneath, the black smooth part you see. I had no idea this happened; I assumed the shell just grew with the turtle. Idk why I assumed this, since I’ve seen him shed his skin a bunch of times now! But look how cool! You can see other pieces cracking and beginning to lift up. Nature is just amazing to me—both flora and fauna 🐢 Here are the pieces of shell we dug out of his tank. He is so energetic, like he’s relieved! I can imagine the old shell might feel uncomfortable if he’s outgrown it! And last but not least, my dear friend Rachael (not @theloveofplants, who is also a dear Rachael to me! 💖) gave me this variegated Burle Marx Philo 😍 I was like whaaaaaaat. Lol. I’m so lucky to have such amazing friends, for sure. I hope you all are doing well and I miss everyone! #Amaryllis UPDATE, Y’ALL. I came into work today because I’m working hella overtime to pay for moving into my new apartment soon. ANYWAY, when I walked into my office, look what I saw! BOTH flower stalks have bloomed now, and Nando just looks even more glorious than he did yesterday, which I didn’t think possible! 😮 So I wanted to share for anyone who loves these plants as much as I do. Who doesn’t love a giant flower? My #Amaryllis this morning when I woke up, and then tonight when I got home from work 😍😍😍 First time I’ve successfully had one bloom! Usually just get huge leaves 🤣🌿 Also, my mom surprised me with this beautiful orange #Poinsettia ! I had no idea they came in orange, or is it dyed? I took these yesterday for #FreshLeafFriday but I had a killer migraine for a few days so I’m just posting now! But— 1. My #GoldfishPlant is getting new flowers which is always fun 2. My #Alocasia Low Rider has a new leaf 😇 3. The newest leaf on my #PhilodendronBillietiae and 4.
