I know I just posted about this the other day but I'm super excited that my first cactus bloom fully opened today! It's huge ! Up close the petals look like little light yellow feathers. Eeeee THERE'S A FLOWER!!!!! My little Christmas cactus -an actual Christmas cactus- has opened up its very first bloom! I got it as a baby 2 leaf cutting back in March and it's exploded over the year. Was worried it was too young to bloom, but I got one! Just want to share how much my VSOH has grown since I got it, only 8 weeks ago! I put it on this ♥️-shaped trellis on 14 October, and I just spent quite a while wrapping all the new growth around it. It looks so much thicker than it did when I brought it home, and it was already pretty viny and robust already. I love this plant! It’s my first “String-of-“ plant, and now I want more! String of buttons, string of turtles, string of pearls, all of them! And I want a non- variegated SOH. I’m hooked! 😂🪴💜 if anyone wants to send me cuttings, I’ve successfully propagated the VSOH so I’d be happy to trade! Hello #GregGang & #Greggers I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving. I’ve enjoyed my holiday season so far, I’ve done lots of Christmas things like decorating, shopping for Christmas gifts, & baking Christmas treats. I love this time of year, it’s so cozy. The only thing I don’t like about this season is that my plants are having to stay inside, I sadly damaged a few plants from cold weather, even though I covered them with a sheet, it still got to cold for them and they have frost damage. I’m hoping that they will make it. I also have hardly any room for all my plants, or light. I’m hoping I will be able to get everything set up before my succulents start stretching, etc. I’m already seeing some signs of lack of light & stress from environment changes. I haven’t had much new growth since the growing season for most of succulents is over. It’s blooming!! 🌼🌸 I have never had a succulent that has bloomed! So I was surprised when I went to water this planter to see blooms on this #Sedeveria and #stringofraindrops. I can’t wait to see the blooms open on the string of plant! PS. What do I do now? Succulent Updates🌿 1&4. Not sure the , but has a bloom that’s forming. I didn’t even know these could bloom, so I’m excited to see for sure. I wasn’t expecting to to bloom either it’s like it formed over night.🌸 2. Graptoveria ‘Debbie’ has grown fast & putting off babies, I repotted her this week.🌱 3. Old arrangent..because A variety of Pachyveria, Echeveria, Pachyphytum & Sedeveria. Haven’t posted this particular arrangement in a while, they may need a repot as well. 🪴 5. My Kiwi Aeonium is recovering from damage nicely, and it also stating To grow a baby so that’s nice. I thought this one was a goner a while back but she has recovered is doing much better lol. I already posted about the first bloom on my #FalseChristmasCactus this season, but I just want to show everyone this beautiful, random peach-colored flower that showed up! I’ve had this plant for a year, and in that time, it’s bloomed only red and white flowers—2 plants in the pot—or so I thought. I’m just saying, peach was not in the mix last year! I suppose it’s possible there are 3 plants in the pot and this particular one didn’t bloom at all until this year. If so, jackpot! What a fun surprise 🎉 It’s not fully opened yet, but it’s already so pretty 😍 If you have a #ChristmasCactus or #thanksgivingcactus post in the comments!
