Happy #freshleaffriday!!! A few of my plants are dropping leaves at a concerning rate (I'm chalking it up to the weather change as we gear up for winter here in Michigan 😬), but my #birdofparadise is giving me one last hurrah! My #pinkprincessphilodendron also has a new leaf pushing its way out, and my #alocasiafrydek has a pup!

This guy just keeps throwing me curveballs! Got 2 absolutely beautiful, new variegated leaves on the main stalk, and the little stalk finally has a new leaf, buuut, I think it’s gonna be all white, it’s so light colored! He was the only frydek that didn’t have any all white leaves when I got him, I did that for a reason as I know the all white leaves don’t photosynthesize and are energy sinks for the plant despite how pretty they are. #AlocasiaAddicts #AlocasiaFrydek

I missed #FreshLeafFriday because of work, and I had so many fresh leaves this week! 🤣 So I’m sharing them anyway. 1. My #Dieffenbachia Tiki made this beauty 2. #AlocasiaFrydek variegated insists on producing white leaves constantly, which is probably why we can’t get past 2 leaves at any time. But usually she kills off the older leaf soon after the new one appears, so I fear the beautiful green one (3) is not long for this world. Side note: anyone know how to make this cycle stop? I’ve heard Frydeks can be like this. 4. Newest leaf on my #AlocasiaPinkDragon 5. #FicusRuby finally produced a new leaf after probably 9 months… meanwhile my ficus burgundy is so big, and pops out two leaves simultaneously every few weeks. 🙃 But yay happy for Ruby’s pretty new leaf! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #AlocasiaAddicts #Ficus #babevila

Hi friends! I’ve been MIA lately 🥲💕 work and life have been kicking my butt. But! There is always something to be grateful for, and today, I’m grateful and excited for ALL THESE NEW ALOCASIA LEAVES!!! 🥳🥳🥳 *air horn sounds* 🌿 After a long winter of dormancy for some and plain struggle for others, everyone is finally getting back into their summer bods 🤣 So much ✨leaf magic ✨happening! Y’all remember me talking about how worried I was about my alocasia frydek giving me a almost white leaf… well in less than a month she gave me another leave and honestly this is the most leaves I have ever had on this plant!!! Soooo… It was rheumatology day! And we should know by now that my local Trader Joe’s is just down the road from my rheumatologist’s office, therefore you know what that means, right? Flower opening on my #AlocasiaFrydek ! This guy had an admittedly tough winter (‘tough’ as in nearly three months of neglect, hehe..) and it lost all of its leaves and most of its roots by the time I brought it outside. But he bounced back! I doubt the flower will fully open, considering the fact that this guy has only one leaf as of yet, so I’ll probably cut it off after this post to give energy to the plant, but still, what an amazing way to start off the season! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #AlocasiaAddicts #NewGrowth #FlowerPower
