Not sure what’s going on with this. Leaves start turning brown and the thing in the middle never flowered and is just dry and brittle.

I’m not sure what to do with this…..end of the leaves are brown and not sure what to do with the thing in the middle? It never really flowered if it’s supposed to and is just bone dry. It was closer to our back door which gets a good amount of sun so I switched it further down the cabinet it’s on. I also followed the watering times and amounts per the app and felt like the soil is always dry to the touch.

Any suggestions on what I can do to make this little guy named “Spiky” be happy and bright again?? He has lost his color- but has little sprouts growing from his base!!! Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated!! TIA🪴
