#Hoya Discussion

Just got this beauty! Any tips for a first time hoya owner appreciated!

Turning yellow

I have had this plant for several years now and I don’t think it has put on more than maybe two leaves but it also hasn’t lost any and has never bloomed. Is that normal or do I need to do something to encourage more foliage and blooms? Thank you!

How would you handle her?

Hoya leaves thinning

These were ID’d by the app as Hoyas Carnosa. I’ve had both for about 3-4 years with no blooms. The one in comments is a start from my aunt who has constant blooms. All her Hoyas are about 5 miles away in south facing indirect light. This one is on the east of my house. The one without the bows is on the west facing side. I’m new to fertilizer in the last few years πŸ˜” but have used a 20-20-20 and toyed with less water, more water. They are in succulent soil with extra perlite but considering a medium change. Any and all ideas on how to bloom are welcome!! #hoya #HoyaHangout #HoyaHeads #PlantsMakePeopleHappy @MusicalRedmint @Hoyaobsessed

Wilty plants

Hey friends! The plant identifier is claiming this a wax plant… Judging by photos specifically the leaf styles and length/direction of which the plant is growing, I don’t believe it to be a wax plant. I was wondering what y’all think? I’m new to plants and am excited to learn and grow (hehe)😊🌿 #help #NewPlantMom

Amazing recent bloom on my #Hoya !

omg #HoyaHeads #HoyaHangout check out this freaking weird leaf on my #HoyaCarnosa !! measuring from where it connects to the vine to the tip, it’s 4.5 inches and the widest point measures just over 1/2 an inch the leaf to the direct right of it is fairly average for the rest of the plant and it measures 2.75 in by .75 in it’s one of the newer leaves on the plant and grew from where i took a cutting once i think. thought it looked nUTS (and strangely like a H. wayetii??)
