Money Tree Questions

Repotting question

Curious if I should add a grow light on this money tree or leave her be. First time growing one of these and it continues to get bigger and bigger. Looks healthy for the most part. Please share advice/thoughts/comments. Thanks!!!

I just Re-potted my money tree andso far it seems be be growing nicely in it! I will be attempting to propagate it in a couple weeks!

i just bought my money tree today! any tips on how to acclimate properly?

I'd like to make a courtesy announcement to all of my braided #MoneyTree parents πŸ˜ŠπŸ“’ … When repotting your money tree, you should check the base of the tree trunks near the roots to make sure there's no rubber band left behind from when it was braided. The rubber band is no longer needed to hold the tree's form. Leaving the rubber band on can cause girdling, which is when the rubber band cuts into the tree's bark and disrupts the flow of water, nutrients, and sugars. This can lead to irreversible damage, weakened branches, discolored leaves and eventually death in severe cases. Removing the rubber band allows the roots to spread out and grow freely, which promotes a stronger and more stable foundation for the tree. Yes, majority of them will have one choking them!! (It was about 2inches beneath the soil) You will feel a release of tension from its trunk as you cut it off. Here's a photo of mine before releiving it & another photo of the rubber band for example. πŸ’šπŸŒ±

Hello All! πŸ™‹πŸΎ So, I did a thing the other night. My Money Tree had gotten out of control these last couple of weeks which I am so happy about but, baby please...πŸ˜’ As you all can see, I had to braid it, and it was NOT a simple task. Being a retired braider, I thought it be easy but maaan. Whew! I braided it carefully, not to break any stems or new leaves 🌱, put a soft binder on it and voila.✨ It had trouble standing up at 1st but with love πŸ’™, tenderness, turning it around every day towards the sun 🌞 really helped. 😊 I'm happy.
