#Echinopsis Discussion

Anyone know why my cactus has started to get these light green patches? Always been a solid dark green when healthy… the light green patches are far less plump and are on the lower half of the plant.. Any help much appreciated thanks guys

I learned the hard way that there is no such thing in Queensland, Australia as overwintering cacti. My #cactus #echinopsis Athena is still quite yellow, it has suffered much because of my ignorance, but it has pulled through and doing better. More of the green colour is visible. I bought this little hamster to cheer me up. I'm sad that I made my belved cactus suffer. #cactusclique

I learned the hard way that there's no such thing as overwintering #cacti in Queensland, Australia. I've had this tiny cactus for a year. I propagated it. I have had no experience how to overwinter cacti, and the tiny "Athena" has suffered a lot. She has lost all her green colour in 1 month. I was anxious whether she would survive. I changed the environment, hoping my diagnosis was right. I'm excited to show her photo here on the road to recovery. There's some green at last 🌵💚🤗 #cactusclique #cactus #cacti #echinopsis #greggang #greggers #desertdweller

It’s gotta kinda droopy. We’ve had it for 3 ish years but since getting Greg we’ve only just started watering her and now I’m worried I’ve overwatered her now? One of them has died.

Just trying to confirm if this is actually a torch cacti? New to this plant thing.

Is this a golden barrel cactus or a golden torch cactus? 😲

Anyone know about cactus? I usually underwater my succulents & cacti (just checked soil still moist) so I'm wondering if that is why my golden torch's skin looks really dried out. The red circle is the problem area and the yellow arrow is an old split.

How big do these get?

This plant has grown a couple inches each year I've had it, but the deep green color is becoming spotty and there are now 'dried' areas. How can I help it green up again?
