Drooping Marigolds

Does anyone have an idea why my African Marigold has these spots on the leaves?

Help my African Marigolds are dying. I adopted them a week ago and since I'm a beginner I watered them everyday. Yesterday I checked them and I thought that they are "sleeping" because they are leaned down but at the same time their nick is very steady but I checked them today morning again and they are still on the same position so I think they're dying because I've watered them so much. What should I do? I love them so much.

soooo i work at a certain hardware store and today while i was out in the garden center, i found this detached marigold head by the register! i already have some french marigolds, so i thought i’d give them a sister! i know nothing about growing flowers from seeds, so i’m just popping this in one of my spare pots and seeing what happens lol. feel free to give advice if it so pleases you!

Dried up?! I water these plants everyday but the flowers are drying up. Is it because of root rot?
