#Philodendron Discussion

The new growth didn’t make it I don’t believe.

Soft trunk? Hey guys so I have this hairy philodendron and it’s growing great!! Lots of new leaves! But I noticed when watering the other day that the trunk is soft. In other plants I know that can be a sign of overwatering or disease. But I’ve never cared for one of these plants and I can’t seem to find ANYTHING on Google. Does anyone know if I should be concerned, and if so what the problem might be?

Wanted to show some #NewGrowth on my #Philodendron #waterpropagation setup! I have a #PhilodendronSquamiferum and #PhilodendronEva from @AwesomePlants & a #philodendronsilversword from @ESylvanus 😊 These were sent and gifted to me last year by these wondeful people and they’ve been chilling in water while they root! Fast forwards to a few months later and we have new leaves! πŸ™ŒπŸ½πŸŒΏ I’m doing a little #ScienceWithGreg with the same type of cuttings and so far, the others are rotting πŸ’€πŸ’€ #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PropagationStation #Philodendron #GregGang #CentralTexasGang #plantfriendsarethebestfriends #kscapedream

What's going on?

My #philosquamiferum cutting that @AwesomePlants sent is doing so good 🀩 I forgot to cut the cutting into more props so now I have this funny looking Squami cutting…WITH A NEW LEAF! 🌿✨🫢🏽 He looks so funny 🀣🀣 how is everyone today? 😁 #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PlantTherapy #PothosWater #PhiloFlock #Philodendron # #PlantCorner #GregMakesPeopleHappy #GregGang #Greggers #CentralTexasGang #kscapedream

Is this what this guy is?

Why no new growth?

Another update on Ilea! She's probably the plant I post most often 🀣 She now has a total of 3 leaves, with a 4th unfurling as we speak 😁 I can't for the life of me figure out why that tiny leaf came out the way it did, but it's the second oldest on the plant, so I dunno. I got her as a cutting in December of 2021, I believe? So I'm really happy with where she is now! Progress pics for attention πŸ˜‰

Look at the growth on this philo!!! Last time I took an updated picture was July 9th; in just under two months, that little sprout turned into a whole leaf, and I've got two more making an appearance!! She's growing so fast??? #philodendron

Another one :(
