Is this algae in my begonia prop?

Too much sunlight?

Is this normal for a spotted begonia? She’s leaning a little and the stem looks and feels almost woody. I watered it a few days ago so I’m not sure if it’s a watering problem. She is under a growth lamp, which I’ve promptly turned off for now until I figure this out.

It seems like it gets little fried leaves on it often. It’s grown new leaves but there’s small little crispy ones that don’t grow. What could this be from?

Anyone know what’s up with my Begonia maculata? Leaves have been getting brown, crunchy spots, and eventually fall off the stem (yesterday 7 newly opened leaves fell off the plant without splotches)? I appreciate your advice 🪴

Only keeps 4 leaves at a time. Have 1 long stem left with 4 leaves at the end. Should I try propagation?
