#PhalaenopsisOrchid Discussion

Hey guys I was wondering if you have orchids do you like to keep them in the pot or do you like to mount them to bark? Any advice would be very much appreciated #OrchidLovers

Greg advises me to fertilize but do fertilizers work in peat? This orchid has always been in peat. Also how do I fertilize? Do i fertilize the leaves of the crown or just the peat? Or both?

Are these roots going to be ok?

R.I.P. Winston You were a fabulous beast and will be missed. #inremembrance #notsohappyplants #orchidlovers #phalaenopsisorchid

Root Rot- I just performed my first plant surgery and trimmed off the bad roots on my poor orchid. I gave her new soil and put more drainage/airflow holes into her plastic pot. When should I expect to see improvement or decline? She’s got buds right now that are starting to open but I didn’t want to wait any longer. #PhalaenopsisOrchid #OrchidLovers

I gotta stay away from thrift stores 🀣 Picked this beauty up for just €3,- she has some weird spots on her flowers, some flowers are half wilted and there's some weird spots on her leaves (more pics in comments) but she looked so sad that I couldn't pass her up. Gotta prune the roots back a bit bc some are just done for but I love already haha #phalaenopsisorchid #plantsmakepeoplehappy #planttherapy #orchidlovers #rehabforplants

My #phalaenopsisorchid has curly leaves.

I'm so excited!!! August 4th repotted my Orchid. I bought it at a grocery store. After its 1st blooms were spent, I put him in a plastic Orchid pot with Orchid bark , hung him in the south facing window, and as of Nov 9th, it has begun reblooming!❀️

Just a friendly reminder to check your local supermarkets 😊 #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #OrchidLovers #OrchidOrg #Orchid #PhalaenopsisOrchid #NewPlants #grocerystorerescue #PlantLove

So right now I don't think I need to trim my orchid but when do I need to?
