Blooming Orchid ! So I woke today to find the first of the spring orchid flowers (yes it’s definitely spring here with recent temperatures up to 88’F already !!!) So I want to share this first orchid flower with my Greg friends and others as many are experiencing a move into cooler weather and less flowering. I can’t recall if I ever saw this orchid with flowers but I do like the yellow as a bit different from some standard colors so perhaps that is why I bought it months ago. And I am glad to see it flower after repotting it after purchase. Hopefully I’ll share more such photos in the coming months. There are more flowers to come on this orchid at least. So I got this #phalaenopsisorchid a while ago from a second hand store and I repotted her (in the same size pot bc I couldn't find a bigger one unfortunately) and I've been hoping and praying she'd make it and look at her!! She's putting out new roots and I think also a leaf and I'm so dang proud of her!! I think I might be getting a little addicted to growing phals 😅

Hi, I've been trying to learn about orchids and I found 2 for 75% off today, woohoo! So my question is, I know to take all the rotten mix out and wash them off and repot them. Do I also clip the dried stems off and let it grow new ones?
