Hey Alo fam, my older Polly (5 year old)has leaves that are splitting with dry edges along the splits.. anyone had anything similar and found the issue? Thank you 🌱

I got what I think is either a silver dragon or dragon scale alocasia and I believe it’s VERIGATED I’m so excited!! I had to repot her a few hours after I got her cause I noticed bug eggs EVERYWHERE in the soil and I’m glad I did because the pot was too large and some roots were rotting so fingers crossed all goes well *found at walmart*

IM A ALOCASIA DADDY! So this is my story. I went back to my happy place perch plants, originally to buy a anthurium clavernarium. BUT IT WAS 44 DOLLARS FOR A SMALL ONE! And their plants are a STEAL. For example, I could buy a FULL GROWN ficus for 45 dollars there. There’s the anthurium idea down the drain. So I was looking around for the plant of my dreams, not a peperomia, not getting another philodendron, (at least for another month I can’t resist!) And then I hit alocasias. I promised myself “Luke, (that’s my name) NO ALOCASIAS” so I was like fine. But then a saw it. A beautiful Alocasia silver dragon. For 16 dollars! What a deal! And then I remembered what I said about alocasias…. Ehh skrew that ur coming home with me! So I wiped down the leaves, and checked for pests, (which there are none!) and placed it on my bookshelf. Btw it’s next to the window! So, how to care for my first alocasia? I really don’t know 😭😂 any suggestions or advice that would be good to know for Sammy? Happy Monday Everyone! I recently rescued this Alocasia Dragon Scale from a big box store and she’s looking a lot better since I brought her home. But she’s still got some yellowing on the tips of her leaves. I’ve checked for pests and taken preventative measures, made sure the soil is just right and I’m giving her a good amount of light and humidity. It doesn’t seem to be getting worse, I’m not super familiar with alociasias and wanted to know if you guys had any advice or tips on how to best take care of them!
