If you ever wondered what happens when you train aerial roots into soil... Look no further 🤣 This is my Monstera Borsigiana Albo, Princess. And rather than chop her lovely, long aerial roots I simply trained them down into the soil and they took OFF as main roots, feeding her upper quarters directly. She's been on a coir pole for ages (I'm not a fan of moss before anyone asks, it's fiddly and annoying and you can't adjust your pole easily to account for lateral growth... And monsters especially do NOT grow straight up! Lol 🤣) so her aerial roots were just hanging loose... She's now got a lovely new Kratiste biobased pole (because I'm always looking for more ecologically sound alternatives to everything) and a slightly bigger pot so... We'll see how she goes! 💚🥰 x

Baby’s first cut! Should I keep her and add her back in to Marsha? Or sell her? If your answer is sell, what would you price her at?? Editing to add: if I keep her it would be to add her back in. I already have a second albo that was cut from the same mother plant as “backup” for Marsha. She’s just as splashy, but recently got scorched by the grow light.
