Happy Tuesday to everyone in the Greggerverse! I’ve got looots of plant chores scheduled for today (with all kinds of fun stuff — time to experiment with LECA!! Gonna try my Milk Confetti I got last year from the Greg Store first ‘cause it’s a drama queen if I miss watering by even just a day), but I’m behind on reading posts and stuff, too. The Hubster took a mini staycation last week and only went back to work today, so I have a lot of catching up to do. That said, while getting prepped for today’s festivities and downing some fuel, I just wanted to shoot out a quick post to say thank you to @TheConservator for giving DD2 and me a shoutout on #TheThread last week (quality time with one of my girls, and ofc, WILLIE!! WoOt!!), and also to Drew @RJG) for featuring Herman Monstera’s badass new leaf on this past #FreshLeafFriday (it’s not hardened off yet, but it’s getting HUGE)! Herman (nor any of my other plants) have ever been featured before and it was actually really kind of an awesome feeling to have my fave plant recognized in such a way, especially since we live in a part of the world where it’s a struggle to get the humidity level in the house up to even just 30%. I mean, just to have a large tropical plant like Herman be able to attain such growth in my care at all is short of miraculous. In my opinion anyway. And last but not least, a big thanks to all of you that commented and offered congrats and whatnot on all of these posts and pictures! You guys, one and all, make this app such a fun and amazing community that I’m proud to be a part of! A special shoutout to some of my peeps on #TheThread, who, even when life is hurling lemons, always manage to be positive and chipper, and make the best damned social media lemonade around! I got this Monstera as a gift from friends, and it’s my first time with a plant this large. She desperately needs to be repotted - the soil and the drainage needs to be better (I have practice with lots of philodendrons and I know they like chunky airy mix and this guy is similar) my question relates to trying to get her to grow a bit more upright and less to the side. In the nursery here they don’t support them and it’s evident with her going to the side under the weight I think. I’m trying to figure out if I should remove the pups on there and grow them separately and then try and turn the mother plant so she’s more straight and then obviously I’ll pole her. I have no idea what I’m doing and this girl is so big 🤣🥲 #Monstera
